Coaching
with Megan
Growth Mindset Coaching is no Mystic Meg practice where we peer into a crystal ball and claim to answer all of life’s questions, but we do know the answer to this one; it’s a fixed mindset.
It’s easy to get stuck in your own narrative, that dreaded comfort zone. More often than not, it isn’t even that comfortable but it’s familiar and what you know. Fear of change will keep you in that state of immobility because change brings pain and by nature, humans avoid pain. Sadly, staying stuck will suppress your growth and inevitably affect your health, wealth, and happiness.
Agreed,
Change can be scary, but it can also be liberating and it is that freedom that opens the door to the life you’re meant to live.
Coaching in business differs from other forms of professional training in that it requires a knowledge of psychology and adult development. While coaches are not expected to be trained in the field of psychology to be effective, it is advantageous. An executive coach with a background in psychology will understand that your past experiences have contributed to who you’ve become, has credibility in business, and will work constructively with your strengths and weaknesses.
Megan’s approach to coaching is centered around positive psychology. It is the scientific study of what makes life worth living and focuses on behaviours and strengths that build a life with purpose and meaning.
Coaching
Process
Some conditions may be medically based which isn’t our area of expertise, but you will be given the tools to develop self-awareness, the ability to recognise your emotions, thoughts and behaviours as they happen and to rectify or adjust accordingly.
You won’t be guaranteed a constant round of ah ha moments. But instead of you being paralysed by inaction, each session will elicit a liberating sense of ‘something is being done’. That feeling right there, is the breakthrough.
